The Senior Accountant, Project is responsible for managing project financials, including cost reporting, subcontractor billing, contract compliance, and financial analysis. This role involves preparing project cost reports, analyzing budgets, ensuring accurate cost recognition, and assisting in project close-out to support business decision-making.

Job description

Prepare and maintain accurate monthly Project Cost Reports (Project PnL).
Generate and analyze Contract Asset/Liability Reports, investigating unbilled project costs.
Review and verify subcontractor billing for accuracy and cost recognition.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Confirm contract status for new subcontractor billings.
Maintain financial project files (LOA, PPA, PAA, etc.).
Assist in financial project close-out and conduct margin analysis for management review.
Collaborate with project managers to develop cost-effective project budgets.
Analyze transactions and incorporate unforeseen costs into budgets.
Prepare cost analyses using financial data and project insights.
Perform additional assignments as required by top management.

Job requirements

Education: Degree in Accounting.
Skills: Project analysis, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Language Proficiency: Spoken and written proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
