Senior Executive, Accounts

We are seeking an experienced Senior Executive, Accounts to manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliation, tax compliance, and cash flow management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with accounting systems, and the ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Job description

Post accounting entries and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Manage bookkeeping and month-end closing activities.
Prepare and analyse financial reports, summarising overall financial status.
Assist in financial forecasting and annual budget preparation.
Handle tax audits, tax submissions, and liaise with auditors, company secretaries, and tax agents.
Manage payments, including staff salaries, claims, and other transactions.
Prepare monthly cash flow statements and perform bank reconciliations.
Independently manage a full set of accounts or work closely with an accountant.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
Support general administrative tasks within the finance department.
Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by management.

Job requirements

Education: Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or a related professional qualification.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., AutoCount or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (If any).
