Job description

• Market Research & Data Analysis:
  
  • Monitor and research trends in the renewable energy and REC markets.
  • Collect and analyze data on REC pricing, demand patterns, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports to support business decisions and strategy development.
• REC Operations & Compliance Support
  
  • Assist in managing REC-related processes, including registration, tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant sustainability and REC standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records for audits and reporting requirements.
• Business Support & Coordination
  
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather market intelligence and customer feedback.
  • Support preparation of proposals, presentations, and client education materials.
  • Assist in coordinating projects related to sustainability solutions and REC programs.
• Stakeholder Engagement Support
  
  • Liaise with external parties such as certification bodies, regulators, and partners.
  • Provide accurate information and timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Support business development teams during client discussions with data and technical insights.
• Knowledge Building & Continuous Learning
  
  • Stay updated on renewable energy policies, ESG frameworks, and REC mechanisms.
    
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of sustainability markets to provide relevant and informed support to the team.

Job requirements

• Education:
  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field.
    
  • OR 2–3 years of experience in sustainability, renewable energy, environmental commodities, or REC-related roles.
• Skills:
  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear and professional communication abilities (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient in handling data and preparing reports (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

• Years of Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Language Proficiency (Spoken): English, Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
• Language Proficiency (Written): English, Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
• Strong interest in sustainability, ESG, and renewable energy markets.
