Chargeman B4

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chargeman B4 to perform testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage electrical systems, including transformers and switchgear. The role requires strict adherence to safety regulations and operational standards, with a focus on ensuring the reliability and safety of substation operations and power distribution systems.

Job description

Conduct testing and commissioning of high-voltage equipment such as transformers and switchgear to ensure proper operation.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance, as well as fault diagnosis and repair of electrical systems.
Monitor substation performance and oversee power distribution operations to maintain system stability.
Ensure full compliance with electrical safety regulations and perform safe shutdown/start-up procedures.
Prepare reports and documentation related to maintenance, testing, and incidents.

Job requirements

Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Certification: Possess a valid Chargeman B4 certification.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with high-voltage systems.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of HV equipment and electrical safety standards
- Troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and handle emergency scenarios
Language Proficiency: Fluent in Malay and English, both spoken and written.
